Katie T. is an east Tennessee native (GO VOLS). There are not many things in life she loves more than a Tennessee football game. She has never missed a season game and wears the color orange proudly, despite whatever their win-loss record may be. She absolutely owns a pair of orange and white checkered print pants! As you can see from the smiles in the photos below, attending University of Tennessee football games is something we do as a family each season.

Katie S. is originally from Illinois but moved to Tennessee when her family relocated to the state. She grew up in small town Illinois surrounded on all sides by corn. Her family is tight knit and every Sunday during football season they wear green and gold for their beloved Green Bay Packers. Go Pack Go!

Katie T. is a certified public accountant at an accounting and consulting firm, and Katie S. is a master’s-level team lead in the region’s leading nonprofit provider of mental health, substance abuse, and social and victim services. Both of us completed master’s-level education at our respective universities while working full-time professions.
We recently purchased approximately seven acres of land and will be building a spacious home and barn on this property in the next one to two years. We chose to mention this in Chapter One as this purchase truly defines who we are and what we want out of life for our household. We strongly desire a property to peacefully and safely raise our family. We have both experienced the beauty, healing, and benefits of growing up in nature. Katie S. lived in the country for most of her life and Katie T. grew up spending weekends on the lake. As you can see from this picture, our land is in view of the beautiful Holston River. We are excited to build the forever home of our dreams!
